I love this destination wedding because it incorporates formal elements like the gorgeous ornate church (which just screams Mexico) and the casual aspects of a destination wedding like the flip flops!  Apparently the church was only utilized due to the rain but seriously… it’s gorgeous!!!  Thanks so much to Jeremy Gilliam for sending this wedding our way!   Here’s what he had to say about photographing this lovely couple’s big day:

“Alice and Matt had bright and happy personalities and I knew they would be a fun couple to work with from our limited contact. I was thankful for their sunny disposition as we arrived at the beautiful Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in Riviera Maya, Mexico because it rained throughout our whole stay. Despite not getting the beach wedding and reception they planned on, Alice and Matt were an absolute joy to photograph. A smile never left their faces, and they were absolutely thrilled to be marrying each other. As plans continuously changed Alice and Matt, along with their friends and family were a true inspiration of love overcoming everything and having a great time with each other despite whatever circumstances came. The day after the wedding as it continued to rain we went out armed with umbrellas determined to get some pool and beach photos. I am continually thankful for clients like Alice and Matt who trust me to work with whatever might be thrown at me, and who truly love each other, making my job easy.”
